So, how堕落精灵 , with who and where did you spend your Spring Festival? “Panda Chengdu” has been touching down all over the globe crossing the vast Pacific Ocean to spend the Spring Festival in Washington D.C., capital of the United States! And simultaneously, the “Panda Chengdu” program was held in Bolivia, extending New Year’s greetings to overseas and ethnic Chinese friends so far away as well as to the Bolivian people; still full of energy, “Panda Chengdu” will head to Johannesburg and New York to celebrate the Lantern Festival. As you can see “Panda Chengdu” is on a non-stop journey!

当地时间2月10日至17日，“PANDA成都”走进美国——我驻美国大使馆“2018欢乐春节”文化活动在华盛顿特区举办，为美国人民“烹饪”了一场地道“成都味”的中国春节文化交流饕餮盛宴，让世界看到正在建设全面体现新发展理念国家中心城市的成都的无限交流合作机遇。
From February 10 to 17, “Panda Chengdu” enlivened the States “2018 Happy Spring Festival” Celebrations at the Chinese Embassy in the U.S.A. which were held in Washington D.C. A tailor-made Chengdu-flavored cultural feast took place. It was an original Chinese Spring Festival-themed cultural exchanges event, demonstrating Chengdu’s unlimited enthusiasm for exchanges and collaboration and reflecting the building of a national central city showcasing new development concepts to the rest of the world.
继史密森学会美国艺术博物馆、弗雷尔塞克勒博物馆、中国驻美国大使馆新春招待会、马里兰州艺术中心后，当地时间2月15日至2月17日，美国重要的国家文化地标——位于华盛顿西北方向的肯尼迪中心也迎来了备受美国人民欢迎的“PANDA成都”活动。另外，“PANDA成都”还走进了华盛顿“哈佛”——赛维尔友谊学校和纽约林肯中心。
“Panda Chengdu” activity really took off in the States: leaving footprints in the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, the Chinese New Year Reception at the Chinese Embassy in the U.S.A. and Maryland Hall, “Panda Chengdu” was going on all over town. Between February 15 to 17, the leading US cultural landmark the Kennedy Center, in the northwest of Washington D.C. also embraced the “Panda Chengdu” program. Then the “Panda Chengdu” program swept through Sidewell Friends School, “the Harvard of Washington's private schools” and the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

People-to-people friendship opens the door to state-to-state relations. During the Chinese Spring Festival, taking “Panda Chengdu” to the States in a series of activities built a “bond” between Chengdu and the States, promoting mutual understanding and friendly collaboration. All this helped the American people gain a really close-up insight into Chinese culture and Chengdu-featured culture , enabling the charms of Chengdu to blossom on the North American continent.

And as we prepare to celebrate the Lantern Festival one week before the first full-moon of the new year, “Panda Chengdu” gets on the road again! This time, the Lantern Festival celebration will be held in Johannesburg and New York!
3月3-4日，成都市外侨办将与我驻南非大使馆在约翰内斯堡共同举办“PANDA成都”欢乐元宵南非行活动磁县一中！除了川菜品鉴和非遗展示，本次活动还将有图片展示环节。更值得一提的是，“PANDA成都”还将于3月2日赴约翰内斯堡大学孔子学院参加元宵联欢会，展示非遗项目！
From March 3 to 4, Chengdu Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office will work together with Chinese Embassy in South Africa to host the “Panda Chengdu” Lantern Festival Journey to South Africa program. In addition to Sichuan cuisine tasting and intangible culture demonstration, the picture exhibition will be hosted during the activity. What’s more, on March 2,古丽扎娜 “Panda Chengdu” will attend the Lantern Festival Gala Evening at the Confucius College of the University of Johannesburg to highlight the intangible culture program.
另一边，2018“PANDA成都”纽约闹元宵活动将于3月3日启幕！除了熊猫人方阵巡游、熊猫主题图片展，熊猫彩旗、公仔、徽章等熊猫元素将把纽约变成熊猫的世界。
Never even pausing for breath, on March 3, the “Panda Chengdu” Lantern Festival celebration will be launched in New York ! Besides the Panda figure square array cruise and panda-themed picture show, other panda elements such as panda color flag星舰驾驶员 , doll and badge will introduce New York to the world of pandas.

The “Chengdu-flavored ” Spring Festival Gala Evening was held in Bolivia, where the “Panda Chengdu” brought New Year’s best wishes to the overseas Chinese and Ethnic Chinese friends now far from home as well as to the Bolivian people.

At the joint invitation of Chinese Consulate General in Santa Cruz and Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Bolivia, Chengdu Youth Palace Teachers’ Art Mission visited Santa Cruz, Bolivia ,from February 5 to 13, to participate in cultural exchanges. The visit was coordinated by Chengdu Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office. They attended the 2018 Overseas & Ethnic Chinese Spring Festival Gala Evening and the 2018 Bolivia Santa Cruz Chinese New Year Cultural Performance. A truly heart-warming event, isn’t it?

Look at the 10 ASEAN countries: Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Laos, Indonesia, Cambodia, Myanmar and Brunei. According to the statistics,nearly 1 million person-times of Chengdu tourists traveled to ASEAN countries in 2017. But the Chengdu -ASEAN links are not just limited to tourism.

Chengdu –ASEAN friendly collaboration is driven by the links such as higher learning institutes and multi-channels which include the international park, consular institutions都市郎中行, representative offices, multinational corporation and logistics which all contribute to bilateral trade. The “Panda Chengdu” program was held in ASEAN countries on numerous occasions and there are multiple Chengdu-ASEAN direct air routes and charter flights operating at present.

The City of Nashville is the world’s capital city for country music. Elvis Presley, the stellar 20th century pop music star recorded much of his material in Nashville over 13 years and all of his Grammy award winning tracks were created in Nashville.
当地时间2月9日，“海外成都”纳什维尔工作站签约授牌仪式在美国纳什维尔市举行。成都市外侨办相关负责人代表成都海外交流协会同美国田纳西多元文化中心签署了建立纳什维尔"海外成都"工作站合作协议。
On February 9火焰龟 , the “Overseas Chengdu” Work Station Signing and Opening Ceremony was held in Nashville. On behalf of the Chengdu Overseas Exchange Association (CDOEA), the director of Chengdu Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office signed the cooperation agreement on the establishment of “Overseas Chengdu” Work Station in Nashville with the U.S Tennessee Multicultural Center.

The 7th “Picture Yourself in Perth”- the Chengdu Middle School Students Winners’ Study Tour in Oceania concluded
10名成都小使者的珀斯游学之旅完美收官啦！2月6日，第七届“我和珀斯合个影”10名成都获奖中学生启程前往成都市国际友城——澳大利亚珀斯市，开启了为期8天的游学访问活动。
The study tour of 10 envoys of Chengdu in Oceania has finished! On February 6谢昀杉 , the 10 middle school student winners of the 7th “Picture Yourself in Perth” flew to Perth, Chengdu’s international Sister City in Australia, launching their 8-day study tour.
游学期间，同学们先后走进西澳大学、莫道克大学，并在泰勒学院、凤凰学院以及坎宁学院与当地师生共同交流学习，进一步加深了对我市国际友城的了解和认识。
During the study tour in Perth, the students headed into the University of Western Australia (UWA) and Murdoch University. Together with local students and teachers in Taylors College, Phoenix Academy and Canning College, they were busy with exchanges and learning. All these deepened their understanding of Chengdu’s international Sister City.
短暂的游学之旅行程紧密，活动丰富。走进珀斯校园体验澳洲教育，参观著名景点领略西澳风情，这大概就是游学的独特魅力所在！
During the tight-scheduled study tour, they experienced a variety of activities: they visited the campus of Perth to gain an insight into the education system of Western Australia and toured many famous scenic spots to experience in full the charms of Western Australia. Wonderful!
