今天又讲一部新美剧Daira《拽妹黛薇儿》，就是很拽的女孩儿的故事风云义，面无表情，什么都不在乎的样子。本篇是黛薇儿转学到新学校，要接受心理测试并认识新朋友的部分内容。
一字一句阅读完本篇只花费4分03秒~，还是四舍五入的（doge）
squad "美 [skwɑd]": a group of players from which a team will be chosen for a particular sports event〔为参加某体育比赛而组成的〕运动队；球队；
the police department responsible for dealing with a particular kind of crime〔警察的〕特别行动小组；在美剧《神烦侦探》中警探多次用到squad僵尸兵团 ，尤其是分配任务的时候；
a small group of soldiers working together as a unit〔士兵组成的〕班，小队；之前在某一篇关于《开心汉堡店》剧情解说的文章中说过pep talk 表示鼓励性讲话，鼓舞士气式讲话，所以同理这里的pep squad直译就是鼓舞士气的小组，小队，也就是啦啦队了；
try out: If you try something out, you test it in order to find out how useful or effective it is or what it is like. 测试 (性能)，在这里表示的就是啦啦队成员选拔，也就是测试你跳舞好不好，能不能达到啦啦队的要求；"It's important to firsttry outthe songs before an audience." （面向听众之前首先自己测试一下这些歌曲至关重要）----VOA Standard
well-thought-out: 妥善的；深思熟虑的；制定周密的；经过周详之考虑的；
boil down to: 归结于；"Really, what a lot of thatboils down to, it's just they become your friends." （真的，很多可以归结为，只是它们成为你的朋友诺门罕战役。）----CNN News
booster "美 ['bust?]": someone who gives a lot of support to a person, organization, or idea 拥护者，热心支持者；"Boostersspeak awkwardly of manuservicing奔豚症 , but they may have a point." （支持者们简单粗暴地称其为造服，然而他们确实有点儿道理）----《经济学人》；"Theboosterswill be very grateful for such a generous donation," （筹款会将会非常感谢支持者们如此慷慨的捐助）----电影《怦然心动》
flunk: to fail a test〔考试〕不及格，通不过（考试）; flunk chemistry 化学考试不及格；flunk the final exam 期末考试不及格；这里的剧情是黛薇儿刚转到新学校要进行测试，而她测试不及格 flunk the test, the test 指代新学校的测试；"Iflunkedthe exam and my dad's going to kill me." （这次考试我考砸了，我老爸会宰了我叶世荣冥婚。）----《赖世雄中级美语》；"I took my math class twice because Iflunkedmy final exam." （我修了两次数学，因为我期末考试不及格）----《跟潘玮柏学习地道英语》
self-esteem: the feeling of being satisfied with your own abilities, and that you deserve to be liked or respected 自尊（心），自信；low self-esteem 低的自尊心，自信；也就是缺乏自信；句式是sb have/has low self-esteem 某人缺乏自信。
memorize "美 ['m?m?'ra?z]": to learn words, music etc so that you know them perfectly 记住，陈子湄 熟记；memorize sth=get sth memorized; 背熟，熟记某事；"And then you have tomemorizeit, like the short notices." （然后你们得在短时间内记下它们）---《艾伦脱口秀精选》
follow "美 ['fɑlo]": to understand something such as an explanation or story 理解，明白；"I didn’t quitefollowwhat he was saying." （我不太明白他说的话）----有道词典；比如因为别人说话有口音闪酷卡 ，没说清楚导致你没听明白别人说什么，你就可以说 I didn'tfollow龙昱, can you say it again? 我没跟上，我没听懂，你能再说一遍吗？
how come: 为什么；怎么办；怎么回事；倾向于询问怎么会那样？想得到一个更好的解释。"How comeyou don't have any black friends?" （你怎么/为什么一个黑人朋友都没有？）----美剧《熟女镇》；
